Welcome back TIFF fans! Over the past few weeks, we have spruced up the website and made a few notable additions in preparation for the 34th Toronto International Film Festival. As you can probably see from the widget on the left, we have jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and attempted to closely integrate tweets to our pages. Any tweets related to #TIFF, #TIFF09 or #tiffreviews are displayed in our widget, providing fans with up-to-the-minute TIFF news from the Twitter community. Some other neat things we’ve added/changed include:
• The ability to tweet about films and quickly review them using Twitter. Users should include #tiffreviews #title-of-film in their tweets in order for our website to find your message. All film tweets will be displayed on their respective film page, as well as our #Twitter page
• A new and simpler forum with less clutter
• Logging into the website via your Facebook account
• A modified Film List page with links to tweet about the film, view trailers and learn about our FestFaves
• Support for iCal and Microsoft Outlook to add film screenings to your online calendar
• A cool new star rating system that will allow you to vote for a film by hovering over a star and clicking it
• For website owners and online businesses: an opportunity to advertise on TIFFReviews.com through our ‘$1 per day’ Banner Ad Promo
Of course, we’ll also be adding the latest TIFF 2009 films to our pages as they are announced over the next few weeks. A note to returning TIFFReviews.com users: you can log in to the website with your previous account. If you forgot your password, please click here.
