Synopsis: Arthur Lipsett’s first film consisting of an audio collage of music, sounds and voices. Various clips were taken from discarded sound tape from NFB films. The film consists almost entirely of still images, however, Arthur’s playful and creative treatment of those actualities gives the viewer the impression that they have just watched moving images. In fact they have; the images are still but in the film they dance, play and coexist within the simulacra of Lipsett’s vision.
Programme: Real to Reel
Language: English
Country: Canada
Runtime: 7 minutes
