   So this year is my first time goin to the festival and I'm very excited when I found out that David Duchovny is coming...I just have a bit of a situation since I am unsure of what screening to attend....

   The Joneses: 13/09/2009 3:00:00 PM | VISA SCREENING ROOM (ELGIN)

   The Joneses: 15/09/2009 9:15:00 AM | SCOTIABANK THEATRE

   The Joneses: 19/09/2009 8:00:00 PM | AMC 7

   I was assuming that he would attend the screening @ Visa...however when I was tryin to purchase the ticket for the date a popup came up saying...

   "Allotment is not large enough at this time...."

   So does this mean that he won't be attendin that screeening since tickets can't be bought?

   "Allotment is not large enough at this time..." just means that the film is temporarily sold out and is to be considered "off sale." I say "temporarily" because tickets can re-appear for various reasons.

   Passholders, for example, are able to exchange tickets. So someone might return a ticket to that screening in exchange for something else.

   The film festival will hold back tickets for the producers, stars and distributors of the film. They may not use all of those tickets.

   At the time of the screening, some people who have tickets may not show up.

   Thus, tickets may become available (a) anytime, (b) on the day of the screening (check at 7am when the box office--online or in person--opens, (c) people in the rush line may be able to purchase tickets at the last minute to fill the empty seats. The Elgin is a very large theatre, so usually a good number of people in the rush line will be able to buy tickets and get in (you won't get the good seats, however).

   David Duchovny *may* show up at the other screenings, but focus on the first one at the Elgin. Keep trying for the advance tickets, but if you have to do the rush line--go early.

   I guess i'll keep checkin the site and hopefully it goes back on sale....
