Do the lineups/crowds in the theatres seem a bit less crowded than previous years? Is it a product of the recession? There do seem to be as many fans *outside* the theatres, but I've seen empty seats at the two films I saw Thursday night (An Education at the Ryerson and Broken Embraces at the Elgin).

MemberI was thinking along the same lines a week back after single tickets went on sale. If I remember, a lot of the Galas and Special Presentation (first screening) tix were Off Sale pretty quickly in past years. Not so this year. I think it could be the recession and the result of having less tourists (with the new passport rules and all).
