Is it me, or does it seem like there are fewer operators processing orders at the TIFF box office?
I got there today at 1:30pm. The line seemed very short, but it was slow moving. Once you get past the lineup outside, you have to line up inside. There only seemed to be 5 people processing orders for buyers/exchangers, 1 for straight pick-ups, 2 for donors. I was picking up 2 tickets and exchanging 2 films. I didn't get out of there until 2:35pm.
I must confess to whining to one of the TIFF staff (I was overtime on my 1 hour lunch break and hadn't eaten) about the slow lines... and some nice young man (who was picking up tickets) offered to stand in line for me. I was sorely tempted, but couldn't very well let a complete stranger suffer in my place. But thank you for offering, kind stranger!
