Did anybody else attend? This was such a god awful film, and the worst I saw at the festival. Terrible dialogue, never ending scenes, unfunny, and two annoying lead characters. I hated it so much, I wanted to boo during the end credits, but I figured it would be rude. I know audiences at Cannes aren't afraid to boo a film, but has this ever happened at TIFF, and is it considered unacceptable?

i've never seen the audience boo a film at TIFF. The worst i've ever seen was last year at "The Strange Case of Angelica", which was so bad that no a single person in the theatre clapped when it ended - not ONE. Everyone just got up and quietly left.
I'm still trying to process Violet and Daisy. I didn't hate it, but it was just really odd in it's approach. Gandolfini did give one of the best performances of the fest and completely against type. I think i like the film, but honestly, i just need more time to think about it. It reminded me of a Coen brothers film, just without any grounding in reality whatsoever...
