Today, over 50,000 people have pledged to see the award-winning documentary film, Waiting for Superman by Davis Guggenheim. As a result, the third goal was reached on the film campaign’s Pledge Progress Meter, meaning Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will distribute 250,000 new books to schools and programs in low-income communities across the country.
We are urging any TIFF filmgoers who are planning to watch this brilliant documentary, to pledge to see the film on their website. 5 books will be given to needy kids on your behalf, and if 60,000 pledges are received, an additional $100,000 worth of new books will be donated. Let’s help make a difference.
